The Lighthouse Restaurant, Cleveland

Delicious Greek food … enticing, foot-tapping Greek music … dancing night away … without taking a flight to Greece …

Not to be missed – Greek Night at the Lighthouse Restaurant, Cleveland !

The Food

Traditional dips like tzatziki, tarama, red pepper tapenade … served with warm, crusty bread …

Freshest Greek salad, crunch cues, juicy tomatoes, luscious greens …

Start with Psari – crispy lightly fried fish fillets with lemon zest and parsley … tantalizing your tastebuds … just right amount of seasoning for palate.

Yemista – mouth-watering baked local vegetables like capsicum, tomatoes stuffed with herb rice, topped with cheese … yummy !

Kotopoulo – lemon, thyme, oregano braised chicken pieces … accompanied by lemon potatoes …

Olive oil, lemon spinach Horta, served with slow roasted melt-in-your mouth lamb shoulder chunks lightly dusted with lemon, garlic and rosemary …

Ecstatic pleasure with each mouthful … you just have to taste it to experience it !

Alas, limited tummy size does not allow over-indulgence … but at least sample everything if you can !

Take a break before dessert … sway to music in background … automatically move to the beat … joyful, relaxing atmosphere …

The Dance

Perfect evening of decadent indulgence in Greek cuisine; lively, music, entertainment and lots of hip-swaying dance therapy … keeps calories at bay !

Musician teaches ‘Zorba the Greek’ moves … some gets it, most did not … but everyone had a great time trying to dance !

No rush, but dessert is coming – vanilla custard layered between filo pastry, soaked in honey (Galaktoboureko) and Baklava ! Very rich but thankfully in small portions … simply melts in your mouth – pure indulgence !

The Drinks

Anyone in proper senses would accompany dishes with suitable wine selection – Sparkling wine – rose or white; quality white or fuller reds, beers … choice is yours !

Alternatively, indulge in Santorini Breeze – ouzo, blue curacao and lemonade; maybe a Greek Old Fashioned of Metaxa brandy and bitters; or Aphrodite’s Kiss – pink gin, crème de cacao and rose.

You can stick to lemon lime bitters or any non-alcoholic beverage you fancy – completely your preference !

More dancing on the way … songs you are familiar with as well as those unfamiliar ones … as long as there is a rhythm and beat you can join in.

Conclusion

The Lighthouse Restaurant organizes this and other events annually – watch out for their events in social media, online or advertised in restaurant next time you visit.

Definitely a night to remember … over-indulgence with family and friends; what better way to spend a delightful evening in Grecian delight !

Many thanks to Chris, Tim and the team for making it a fantastic evening for all of us.

That is why we keep coming back for more !
